Uses ordinary cards
Uses the slight: one hand top palm
The top card which is never shown at first is reversed with the face side up
The right hand grips the deck as required to perform the one hand top palm, and palms the reversed top card as the cards are brought down and held above the out streatched left palm
Then the deck is placed into the left palm, and after a moment the left hand turns over the whole face down deck so that the bottom face up card is showing
Then the right hand quickly passes over the face up deck and deposits the palmed card on to the deck, and then it turns over to show it is empty
This appears as though the face card has magically changed into another card...
