Uses these magic procedures: Misdirection, Table with Hidden Compartment, Hidden Flip Mirror
The table has a duplicate hidden fan in it and a hidden flip mirror is manually moved up to a 45 degree angle, just before the Magician steps up onto the rear platform, so as to reflect the hidden rotating fan blades thru an opening in the table top, below the box... the audience sees this and thinks it is the lower part of the top vertical fan blades... but as the Magician's Assistant covers the top vertical fan housing with the cloth, she trips a hidden electrical switch which shuts off the vertical fan's power, enabling the Magician to pass thru the slit in the cloth between two of the three motionless vertical fan blades...
Immediately after the Magician is thru the cloth, the Assistant powers on the vertical fan again, which reaches rotation speed in a fraction of a second and removes the cloth... both fans are synchronized to rotate at exactly the same speed and direction...
Music, lights and the actions of the performers add to the misdirection away from the reflection aspect of this illusion...
